1. I have been wearing my right contact for WAY too long. But for some crazy reason, I only have two right-eye contacts left despite the FIVE 5 left-eye contacts i have (no. i don’t know how i got all uneven, but I’m going to go ahead and blame it on the eye-scratch i got over the summer) (why? because it’s the only thing i can come up with). Anyway, I don’t want to switch it out for a new one yet. Instead, at night, I just close my right eye when trying to read neon signs as a means of keeping the blur factor down.

2. Seriously, it gets dark at like noon now. WTF? All i want to do is sleep and watch primetime, but then I realize that i have like 6 hours of work in front of me. Winter sucks. (Although I AM happy that there seems to be less snow so far this year.).

3. While we’re on the topic of winter, I’m pretty sure my car hates the season. the other day my friend was all “that’s your CAR making that noise? I thought it was the city’s tornado drill.” I should probably get it fixed, but I’m scared it’s going to cost me my life savings. instead, i will just continue to believe that either a. god will fix it or b. it will fix itself.

4. for those of you who don’t stalk me on facebook and therefore don’t already know this, i dyed my hair supa dark this weekend in honor of winter. (see pic below). also, call me crazy, but i really do think the black hair makes my head look thinner.

i know i need to get my bangs cut. but what do you think of the COLOR?

5. I joined match.com. yeppers, I did. and it’s going well so far. but if i get murdered and thrown in a ditch sometime soon, be sure to tell the cops about the guys on my ‘favorites’ list, because it was probably one of them.

6. I KNOW that i still need to design this site, but the problem is I can’t figure out how directorys work and i have a sneaky suspicion that i do in fact need to download something from wordpress.org onto a desktop.

seeing as how i don’t have a desktop, i’ve instead decided to avoid the problem for the near future. there is hope though, because i plan to get a laptop during one of those day after thanksgiving sales. (yes, I KNOW i should spend the money on my car instead. but you want me to BLOG don’t you? don’t you!)

• heck YA, i’m excited that gas prices are going down. We’re on our way back to $1 a gallon baby! secret plan includes stock piling it in my roommate’s garage by disguising it in cans of paint. Will resale when prices sky rocket after election. ergo, pay off student loans.

• I’m addicted to checking my bank account online every day. do you think the people at Harris keep track of how many times I do this? the sad thing is, because of their weird system, I’m not even sure what my “available balance” actually means. or how many of my transactions have actually posted.

• Guess what? I have good news. I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to geico. (where have I heard that before? hmm.) seriously. I did. Progressive wanted to charge me about $230 per month. (yes. you just read “month.”) while geico will charge me a measly (ish) $180 per month. yay. (ish).

• in case you were wondering where all the office rubber bands have gone, I have indeed made a rubber band ball. from scratch. the secret is to start by wrapping a rubber band around another one and building from there:

• Can you people believe that the election is in SIX DAYS!! Holy moley!!!! seriously are you going to vote? who do you think will win? who? who? WHO???!!

• I wish my blackberry didn’t need to alert me every time i have an outgoing e-mail from gmail. seriously mr. blackberry, i sent it. i KNOW it’s out there.

yes, I’ve had a few accidents, but seriously progressive. you want me to pay $230 a MONTH for car insurance? you people are insane. im going to go ahead and call that little gekco to see if i really can save 15 percent or more.
i always complain about going to weddings (see: i make no money, therefore i have no money to travel), but then i go and they are THE FUNNEST THING EVA! i had such a good time this weekend. and i also made a new friend. who is awesome (even though he likes cats).
what is UP with the chicago bears? are we EVER going to get a good quarterback? this is how i visualize draft debates in the locker room: “maybe we should draft good quarterback x.” “no, he’s too good. we need to draft bad quarterback z and focus on our defense. if we had a good quarterback, people would have to stop calling us the chicago bears.” “oh. ya. you’re right. let’s just get an average quarterback and work on our safety plays.” this season is not going to be for the faint of heart. and if one more person tells me “well, they COULD be 3-0,” im going to cry.
i finally figured out how to put music on my phone. that means i have finally left 1987 and moved past cassette tapes onto digital music files. what can i say? im just cool like that.
yesterday my mom’s dog jumped up and grabbed my contact case (complete with contacts) and put the whole thing in his mouth, and then i stuck my whole hand in there and grabbed it, and then i rinsed everything off with contact solution and stuck them in my eyes because they were a brand new pair of 30-day contacts and im poor. thoughts?
coming up with a daily photo is harder than i thought it would be, and im thinking of making it a 5-day a week photo.
i cannot give up soda people. i know it’s bad for me, but i love it. and i love caffeine. and it’s SO delicious. and i have no motivation to give it up. so i just bought a 12-pack of coke. stop judging me.
