Sa-leep.

Wow. A full-night’s sleep is awesome.

Lately, I’ve been busier than a preacher during holy week.

It’s partly because I’m basically a two-year-old on the inside and never want to miss anything ever, because it could be the MOST exciting thing I ever do. And it’s partly because I over-commit. I think. I guess.

I’m off work today though, so I drove out to my mom’s house last night and plan to stay through tomorrow morning – when I have to work again. There’s something about being out of town that helps me fall into a deep sleep. The kind of sleep where you wake up a new person, with thoughts and ideas and an ability to not get super mad when even the slightest thing goes wrong, like say McDonald’s takes three full minutes to get you your order.

I got 10 hours of that kind of luxurious sleep last night. On a bed and everything.

It was pretty sweet.

Now excuse me while I go be a full-functioning human being again.

Bottle blonde

I’m a little super extremely worried my hair is going to fall out.

Not like when I’m 60 or something, like normal baldness, but right now. Or, well, about 15 minutes from now.

Because of the recession, student loans and an overall lack of an extra $150 to get my hair professionally dyed a lovely shade of blonde, I’m doing it myself.

This will end one of four ways.

1. Every stand will be a day late for St. Patrick’s day.

2. Every strand will fall out. (And then I would cry for a week straight).

3. It will look like a pumpkin pooed on my scalp.

4. Awesome.

I said a prayer for number four, but I’m not sure how much God cares about my hair exactly, seeing as how he’s dealing with Haiti and health care as of late.

Wish me luck.

And don’t worry. I’ll post some pictures of whatever the results turn out to be. (Unless my hair falls out, because then I will be crying hysterically. Sorry in advance).

My smile says SPRING: Fun pictures with Bronson

My friend Bronson came to visit again! YAY! FUN TIMES GALORE! WEEEE!!!!

He’s the kind of guy who makes even a trip to Taco Bell interesting. And, this weekend, I was so super excited about the sun making it’s first appearance in about 17 months that I made him go on a walk with me at Emricson Park here in Woodstock.

I even decided it was warmer than it was and refused to wear my full winter jacket, instead opting for a fleece and some gloves (see below).

– My smile says SPRING, but my hands and the ice in the background say, DUDE! NOT YET!

– I look disproportionately small for some reason in this picture. And if you look close, you see my arm’s reflection in my glasses taking the phot0.

– Bronson, standing in front a baseball park, before he fell in front of a soccer field about 35 minutes later when he slipped on some ice. Usually, I’m the one who falls, so that was a refreshing change.
